And all the other countries that also celebrate St George's Day because he is their patron saint. It is not just an English thing

Oh, man, that pint of Fuller's London Pride looks delicious! If I could, I would raise a glass of that stuff, even though I don't know anything about St. George's Day.

I share DaveG's sentiment exactly. Maybe next year?
Get an idea of travellin thru big or semi-big cities
and drink their cardinal beer brands, like Berliner Kindl, Fullers,
Amstel, plus visit the breweries.. Maybe combinable with
a tour around the Trapisten monasteries. drinking smiley smileys with beer

I'll be in Paris in a few weeks. Any suggestions for a great brew? Or, a great meal, that won't require a second mortgage??

I'll be in the UK in July and I KNOW I'll get ahold of a Fullers!!

I might be full of prejudgements; but Paris aint no beer city?

But eating: Go to Brasserie Lipp, Hemingway's & Madonna's fave place,
recommend lamb & fish soup. Dont go in broken jeans, but the price
level was decent last time I went there.
Lipp is in the boundary St. Germain/Q. Latin,
I think to be strict it is in St Germain de près. [www.ila-chateau.com]
Motto: Chic and cheap and heard to beat.

Dont confuse it with BL in Gothenburg, Sweden!
