It was a sunny day! Good gig, but they opened today at 14.00, so the turnout was not impressive. Just met Todd Rundgren, Chrissie Hynde and her Pretenders, Big Bang etc.
Fantastic festival - wonderful back stage area that turned into a gypsy camp with great catering and drinks.
Blondie's very happy. He says hi to everyone.

What's the time to be at "Hard Rock Cafe" today (Sunday) ?

Think the Blondie show at Norwegian Wood was great.

From around 18:00, the Hard Rock Cafe restaurant will start playing Stones videos upstairs.
From around 20.00, the DJ will play some of the remastered albums.
Around 21:30 - BV - Björnulf starts his brainbusting Stones-quiz.
Prizes hand-over 22:45.
Shortly after that - or when the Hard Rock manager gives us a GO! - It's showtime!

IORR-people - guests of honour - will find their area on the ground floor, to the left. Near the Mick Jagger bust. (Where else?!)
If you have a problem finding it, the people at the door will show you to our tables. Tell them you're from the IORR fan club! Find a good seat, and get something to eat and drink and enjoy the music!

Ha - The Worst was the best last night!
Yes, Anders won a Special edition box with the 8 first remastered albums, donated by Universal Music. And goods worth 1000 NOK (100 GBP) from the leading chain of record stores, Platekompaniet. I made him promise to use them to buy the next four albums in line.
Congrats - The Worst! You're the best! And you could have been the son of all your competitors. We're impressed.
And Dandelion Powderman also did well! Came in half a point short of making it to the finals - where only the 3 best participated.
It was good seingg everyone there - and particularly the guys from Kristiansand and the English Blondie-fan, who came all the way to Oslo for this show. Amazing.
Blondie says a BIG THANK YOU to everyone.

Alexander Lindbäck is a WONDERFUL person and a truly great drummer. He plays his Gretsch drums, inspired by Mr. Watts.
Blondie just loves him as a person and as a musician, and calls him "My little drummer boy". Blondie wants to hire him permanently, but there are obsticles, like Alexander living in a different continent...

Great show with Blondie at the Oslo Hard Rock on Sunday, and since I had been in London to see Charlie the night before this was sort of Stones week-end for me.





The quiz was great fun. I had made 32 questions grouped in 3 categories. The forst one were ok but the middle category sorted out the winner easily. He got 4 out of 5 right, while the others made 1 out of 5 only. Congratulations!

New Blondie tour of Norway in August!
Preliminary dates:
August 8th: Åndalsnes (By the very lovely fjord, breathtaking scenery)
August 15th: Jessheim

There'll be a gig in Oslo and perhaps one in Beitostölen, (up in the mountains).

So this is the Mountains and Fjords Tour.

No shows outside Norway?

I'm afraid not. This time, Blondie's in a bit of a hurry, due to other obligations.
However, I did try to get him gigs in Sweden for the tour that just finished. There was no interrest...
But if you know someone... Who might want to have Blondie in his or her club - please gimme a sign!

The following picture is from the performance Blondie and Peter had in Lillestrøm last Friday. A major string broke during the final song, and Blondie kept playing, as this picture is taken in the middle of a long and great solo. Shows what a great guitar player Blondie is.



Great to know Blondie will be back for more shows in August!

PS. I think Blondie mentioned that he would do an outdoor gig in Paris Texas USA with Bobby Keys this summer, early July may be?

Yes - July 4th, Paris, Texas. But kind of private, since it's Jim's big July 4th bash. Not confirmed yet if Bobby Keys will be there, but he lives close by, in Dallas, so let's hope!

His solo - despite the broken string - was truly amazing, yes! (And the guitar broke, too - a long crack...)
