OT: Hip-O-Select : What an awesome re-issue label !!!

I'm just listening to some of the Hip-o-select CD releases that I've just purchased and I am blown away by how good these releases are.
Great sound, tons of alternate takes & rarities, and cool packaging.

Currently I have:
Chuck Berry - Complete 50s masters
Bo Diddley - Chess Masters 1959-1960
Muddy Waters - Complete Chess Masters Vol 2 1952-1958

Anybody else digging this great label?

Some great soul and reggae re-issues as well.

The new Little Walter Hip-O set is a must have...as is the criminally overlooked complete Joe Cocker/Leon Russell "Mad Dogs and Englishmen".

Does anybody have the now discontinued Bo Diddley "I'm A Man - The Chess Masters 1955-1958" release?
Sadly, I only have the follow up

The best Hip-O release for me is "The Sir Douglas Quintet- The Complete Mercury
Masters"!!!!! 5 CDs I'm sure at least ONE person here agrees!

Well, Scott you know you can always ( or better mostly ) count on me, but it is really hard for me to make a decision here, I mean those Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley releases are really great, aren't they!?

I hope they will do a Howlin' Wolf set soon!

Thats true BUT theres lots of other compilations of those artists that are pretty darn good but NO ONE that I know of has put the Mercury Sahm sessions together like Hip-O!!!! But then I'm partial!

Don't be deterred. It's out there, probably new and certainly used-and it's certainly worth whatever time and effort you put into getting it...

I have the 2nd Chuck comp, while the music isn't at the same level of his 50s material, it's just as fascinating.
