March 26 marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of the mighty Allman Brothers Band. For tonight's Beacon set, there were no guests and no gimmicks, just the first album and Idlewild South played in their entireties, in running order, with a Statesboro Blues encore.

Check out the great line-up for the Wanee festival - including ABB. North Florida fun.

Note: Ivan Neville's band and Toots- it's Stones-related!
Lukester, E. Grove, Shawn20, Steven, 5string, MarvPeck, FredLuvs, and any of you other southern boys and girls interested in going?

that'd be nice. it's a bit of a stretch to try to meld together the zz top and abb styles, frankly - but the results could be interesting. i'm assuming that the brothers will all be donning fake beards for the occasion....

Wow, what an incredible line-up, Elmo. Ae you going?
I love the number of dual band members:
Warren Haynes: Gov't Mule and ABB
Derek Trucks: ABB & Derek Trucks Band
Oteil Burbridge: ABB & Bill Kreutzman's Trio
Jaimoe: ABB & Jaimoe's Jassz Band
