Anyone got Rod Stewarts schedule of dates for his USA/Canada tour this summer? I know he is touring as I just got some for here. Guess the Faces reunion is defintely off.

haven't heard any followup info as to what came of his supposed recording session in brooklyn recently (daptone recording studios)...guess it's not reasonable to expect a new disc in time for the new tour dates...unless he operates at neil young/bob dylan warp speed....

YYYYYAAAAWWWNNN!!!! Rod has turned into a joke. He has forgotten how to rock. Shame he has a great voice. HE NEEDS the FACES more than they need him. Well musically at least.

And when were the last time ya saw Rod live in concert, Phelge?

In the early 00's I am not sure which one. he was at lakewood in atl. It was ok but I expected more. I was very disappointed. He is unbelieveably talented but chooses some light processed rock and that is not what he is good at. Maybe I am wrong and should go see him again but I dont want to pay what he would charge for tickets

nank, he was pretty damn good the last couple of times thru ATL. Let's go see him and party while waiting for the Stones.

Thanks Baboon.

Rod performs cover songs very well, but maybe one or two is enough. He has plenty of good material to choose from. I've always enjoyed his concerts. It's a great concert to take a date.

Thanks for pics. 22 songs there, 23 when I saw them.
Main difference: He played Dirty Old Town, This old heart of mine & Sweet Little Rock And Roller in Sundsvall; but instead he played You Wear It Well, Forever Young & Baby Jane in Bangkok.

Yeah, Chris, he was touring behind that covers CD at that time. One Dylan cover and one Motown/Stax should be just fine.

I agree with you, he is always great when I see him. He's got tons of great songs.

I would like to say one other thing about Rod Stewart concerts. In my opinion, the most favorable setting for his performances are the amphitheaters. I like being outdoors with beer in hand when it is 80 degrees while surrounded by tightly clad...... Yeah, like the Beach Boys, Rod must be seen in the summer!

Agree; terrific summer experience.
And I did get to see him at a football/soccer ground, which maximize the experience.

Saw him in Sacramento,CA in 92 outside in a baseball stadium. This was in the summer..great, and my motel wasn't far away.

Well, it would leave the Autumn free for a Faces reunion.
Oh no, not that old chestnut again.

If Rod performs any song released after 1975 its a complete waste of time for all concerned!

Rod moved on into other genres thats all. He won't have taken some die-hard fans with him, but he'll have aquired some new ones on the way. No big deal.
His Songbook series sold pretty well, I believe.
I don't think he NEEDS the Faces at all, any more than Cliff needs The Shadows.
Or Van needs Them ...and so on.

Oh, he needs the Faces if he's ever gonna be taken seriously by anyone other than
Oprah watching old ladies(couldnt believe that one!) and when he starts covering
Bob Seger songs( excuse we while I vomit) its too much for me!
