I'm a Mick Taylor guy, but I respect Ronnie's playing.

Wondering what were your favorite Ronnie solos???? Either live or studio . . .

It's the long Miss You studio version only released on boot. That's where the waiving/weaving/whatever is best.
Apart from that there is just more than you can mention that is all very noteworthy, if I may say so.

<You Can't Always Get... - Love You Live>
He plays just horrible on that one. The whole album got destroyed by his playing.

I think CYMK sometimes was an interesting mix of playing and sound.

Re: What's your favorite Ron Wood solos

He does some "All Down the Line" versions that are amazing. When they play it superfast.
"Too Tough" short but hard.
"Summer Romance" the riffage in between the vocals. Sounds more like him than Keith.
Solo stuff I can think of "Fountain of Love" off of 1234. "Lost & Lonely" off of Gimme Some neck. And the slide on "Far East Man". That guitar sounds exactly like George Harrison's side playing; so I'm not sure it is indeed Ronnie playing. George isn't credited.. It seems like the slower melodic material has the memorable solos, but the fats stuff is just as good IMO.
All round, I say his solos are better with the Faces, then his solo stuff, then the Stones. He really only soloed in 75-76 with Stones.

Wayne Perkins plays the lead on Hand Of Fate. By the way, can anyone recommend anything else featuring Wayne.

The solo on Little Wing when he played with the Corrs is nice and tasteful.

I am really surprised that it is Keith's solo. It doesn't sound like Keith to me. Yeah maybe I am wrong but that solo reminds me of the solo on Ron's I can feel the fire. I don't know who is the source behindwww.timesonourside.com. Again I may be wrong, but if it was Keith playing, Ron's style had rubbed on keith, which is allright.

I just check onYoutube "crazy Mama" at The double door. Here you have it, Dali: Ron is playing that awesome @#$%& Solo. I should not doubt myself! My instincts were right. Hey it's not because it is written on the internet that it is true, but a video shows what is, is. Ron is good.

Dagger,

I didn't know that Wayne Perkins played lead on Hand of Fate. It makes you wonder about possibilities of him as a RS (not to mention WAY).

Question. I was watching tv today killing time before ACC hoops. A Dell computer commercial appeared and the background music was Jagger. I can't make out the song. Does anyone know?
