The show was not that different from any of the boots I have heard. The same set list as most of the other shows. Started with "JJF" and closed with"SFM." They did "Prodigal son" & "You've gotta move". Like everybody who saw them that tour "Midnight Rambler" is the one that floored me. You could not take your eyes off of Mick Jagger. Keith was the man that night. His playing was sublime. Mick Taylor was good but like Bill he seem to stay out of the spotlight. Charlie was the same as always. I don't think he has ever had a bad night. I came away from that concert a changed person. Have only missed one tour since then. I was in Europe when they toured in 1972. Hey! Nobody's perfect....

Yeah, but you probably caught Deep Purple with Gillan and Glover over in Europe in '72.

This tour is so weird as it had multiple shows at college towns yet totally skipped so many major cities. Very weird

they wanted to see the country---and they did. the music to come proved that.

Palace Revolution 2000! Got to see The Faces in England among others that year. Saw DP in Tampa in 1973. Guess the name I go by gave away my other fav. Saw Steve Morse this past March in Clearwater. Deep Purple tours every year. They have not been back to the States since '07 due to poor Ticket sales. Shame, they are one of the top acts on the road World wide. Read a Roger Glover interview in which he stated that the U.S. and U.K. were poor sales for them. Our lost. Steve at the meet and greet said that he hoped they would tour this summer here in the States as a package deal. Maybe with the Scorpions!

In my mind that's definitely a mic. The thing is security at that venue may have taken things a little more seriously and taken it. Also the tape could have deteriorated, been forgotten, been to crappy sounding, erased, recorded over, used only for personal enjoyment, or the recorder simply does not know how, have the means, or want to make a digital transfer. The more amazing thing is that the MSG show is still missing.
