FT PRESS: In a suprise move earlier today, The United Nations moved to quell increasingly fractious arguments between rival factions by formally announcing that Mick Taylor would not be rejoining popular beat combo The Rolling Stones now or at any point in the future.

The United Nations spokesman, speaking under condition of anonymity to prevent possible reprisals from some hardcore Taylor fans, said that Taylor had moved on and that a secret UN vote last week amended a treaty to permanently prevent any such reunion. Diplomats believe that a Taylor return could lead to all out war and carnage on an unimaginable scale.

The possiblity of the guitarist rejoining the band has been the source of ongoing debate between fans, despite Taylor leaving the Rolling Stones some thirty four years ago.

Despite the lack of any evidence pointing towards a reconciliation between Taylor and the band, some fans believe that certain signs point towards such a reunion. One fan said that the tea leaves in his cup resembled Taylor's face, which proved that the "second coming" was imminent. Other Taylor fans claim to have received visions of Taylor playing a lengthy, slightly off key solo to Street Fighting Man.

This is not the first time the UN has intervened in the pop music world. In 1968, a force of peacekeepers was deployed to Memphis, Tennessee to end a bloody heavily armed standoff between Elvis Presley and his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

According to the President of the Rolling Stones M.Jagger,and former Prime Minister Bill Wymann, the reasons for the invasion were "to disarm Ron Wood of weapons of mass destruction (Ampeg,Boogie), to end Keith Richards support for Woods musical terrorism, and to set the Taylor fans free. According to Wyman, he said the trigger was Wood's failure to take a "final opportunity" to disarm himself of acoustic electrick, and wired weapons that Ron Wood and Keith Richards officials called an electrick and wired means to "musical" efforts. Although remnants of post-1976 production were found after the end of the war, Taylorfans spokespeople confirmed that these were not the weapons for which the Taylorites went to war.
