This issue of IORR is dedicated to the No Security tour. From Jan. 25 to April 20, the Stones played 34 shows in 26 cities, including one show in Toronto, Canada, and the rest in USA. The No Security tour was set up so that the Stones could "stay warm" for the postponed UK shows. All shows were performed in arena sized venues, normally used for sports like ice hockey and basket ball. A total of 590,000 fans paid an average of $109 per ticket, totalling gross ticket sales of 65 million US dollars. The Stones did two weeks of rehearsals at The Fillmore in San Francisco, and checked out quite a few "new" songs. Thursday Jan. 21 and Friday Jan. 22 they rehearsed at the Henry J. Kayser arena in Oakland, and on Saturday 23rd they did the final rehearsals at the Fillmore. This is a selection of songs they were rehearsing in San Francisco, not performed later on during the No Security tour: Angie Ain't Too Proud to Beg Around and Around Emotional Rescue Gunface Hang Fire I Go Wild Jump on Top of Me Little T&A Love Is Strong Rocks Off Under My Thumb These are the statistics of the tour, i.e. what songs they played, and how many times each of the songs were performed: |
