It's Only Rock'n Roll - No. 30 - October 1997
The Rolling Stones Fan Club of Europe

Well, it’s just two months since the press conference in New York on August 18, and it’s less than two months since you got IORR 29 by the end of that month. A lot of exciting things has happened. The new album and single is out. The tour is on in USA and Canada, and they have already played 2 club shows and 11 stadium shows as per date of writing (Oct. 19).

I will try to bring you some of the best moments of the tour with this issue, being a special issue dedicated to the Bridges To Babylon Tour. With the next issue IORR 31 I hope to be back to normal, even if there will still be plenty to tell about the tour. For the next issue, please tell what you think about the new album and single. Also, if you are lucky to se them live in USA or Canada, please tell us about your experiences.

Too bad they can’t seem to decide to do the Madison Square Garden concerts in New York official. As long as they are still not made official, it is impossible to finalize travel offers. I will advice anyone that wants to see the Stones in America to pick their own places to go, and use standard tourist transportation. Tickets are easy to get, either outside the stadium, or from agencies (see IORR 28). If you can’t afford to travel, then don’t worry, as they will probably hit Europe, South America and Far East as well during 1998. Enjoy! --- Bjørnulf.
