okay, here you go ... but now will someone relate the details of that scenario, please and thank you kindly?
what was it that induced people to start flingin their shoes like that - was it purely spontaneous, or ... ?
did it all happen in one outburst, or was it little splatters over a span of a few numbers, or ... ?
how did the band react? (kinda nerve-wracking, if it went on for any length of time!)

Thanks for the photo and good question indeed. Always wondered what made people throw their shoes onstage. And did some people actually manage to get them back after the show? Would be nice to hear the story from some one who attended the show.

its pretty obvious:

a) it was in the 1972 tour
b) even though he's wearing sunglasses, you can tell by his face
c) the guy who took it said so in a keith autobiography

Ehh, I still think I prefer him post-young dork, but pre-rock and roll gypsy. Aerosmith has (almost) ruined the 70s longhair look. How about a nice one from '65-67?

Or that less well-documented transitional period between 70s longhair and 80s perm?
